A nation-wide silent protest has started against the Cap and Trade legislation that was rammed through the House of Representatives yesterday. The 1200 page bill was passed 219-212 after Representatives were given less than 24 hours to read its contents. There is not a single person in Congress who could have digested all 1200 pages in such a short period of time. Below is a link to a great article on the bill and how it will destroy our nation’s economy. It is all about control and it is time for us to peacefully resist the tyranny.

The protest is easy yet very visible and effective. The Houston Tea Party started the “Black Ribbon” protest to show the people’s disgust for the attempt to destroy our way of life. I encourage all of you to pass on the word to all the patriots that you know in your area, urging them to tie a black ribbon made of any material available (strip of fabric, black garbage bag or other material) on trees, streetlight poles, antennas and anything else that they choose to decorate. This will travel fast and will send an extremely powerful message to all 100 senators that “We the People” do not support this bill. We must not allow this legislation to reach the President’s desk. If this legislation reaches the President’s desk, he will change our lives forever and sign away millions of American jobs with one stroke of his pen. We can’t allow that to happen! Pass the word to all of your friends, send it to your facebook groups and start tying those ribbons. People will start asking questions right away and if they agree with us they will start tying a few of their own. We are going to show them what we think in a big way this time!
